For those of you who are looking to pick up the Nintendo Switch when it comes out next month, you’re in for a treat! On the weekend of March 24-26 there will be a Global Testfire event where Switch owners can download a demo version of Splatoon 2 which will allow players to get a peek at the upcoming game as well as give the developers opportunity to test out the online environment. It’s a win-win for everyone! Here are the dates and times for the testfire:
For the first time in the history of the Legend of Zelda series, we will be having DLC. The game already is shaping up to be a gargantuan adventure, so the idea of having DLC with even more content is enticing.
Hidemaro Fujibayashi (game director), Satoru Takizawa (art director) and Takuhiro Dohta (technical director) will be hosting a panel at the Game Developers Conference on March 1 at 11am-12:30pm. You will be able to watch the panel at a later date at http://www.gdcvault.com/ if you can’t make it to the conference.
Resident Evil returns in 2017 with the much anticipated 7th entry in the main series. This entry in the series serves to return the franchise back to its survival horror roots. As a longtime fan of this franchise I've got to say that Capcom and the Resident Evil team did a fantastic job in accomplishing just that. Also be warned that this review will contain spoilers so consider this your Spoiler Warning!
Platforms: iOS and Android devices Player(s): 1 I've never played a Fire Emblem game; let me just get that out of the way first. The closest connection to the series I have is seeing Marth and Roy in Super Smash Bros. Needless to say, I wasn't terribly excited about a Fire Emblem-themed mobile game. Boy, was I wrong. Before you brush this off as a lazy bad review by someone who doesn't even like the franchise, lemme spoil it for you a little: I LOVE this game.
Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4
Player(s): 1 The journey that started as Final Fantasy Versus XIII finally culminated in Final Fantasy XV ten years later. As fans, we never thought it would get finished, but it did. After all the fuss and all the wait, was it worth it? Disgaea is a legendary series of tactics RPGs, stretching back to the early 2000s. With the recent move by NIS to port these classic console games to the PC market, the series has been revitalized with a new generation of fans. While Disgaea 2 has been out for well over a decade now (and as such, easy to find reviews for) we thought it would be good to take a look at how the PC port of this fantastic game stands up against other modern PC titles.
