Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC (via Steam) It's been several years since Fairy Fencer F first saw a release on the PS3. Since then its enhanced re-release, Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force, has come to most modern consoles. Fans of that first title, and for anime-styled RPGs in general, now have a sequel to experience in the form of Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord. This game is brought to us by way of Idea Factory International and is quite the departure from the first title. It may pick up in the same setting, with the same characters and story, but there's one big change to get out of the way immediately. While the first Fairy Fencer title was more of a standard RPG, Refrain Chord goes a totally different route with a Strategy RPG format in the style of games like Final Fantasy Tactics. Platform: PlayStation 5 R-Type is one of the oldest side scrolling shooters, and help define the genre. With R-Type Final 3 Evolved, it aims to enhance the tried-and-true formula in as many ways as possible. Read on to see if the PS5 version is worth the upgrade. It is important to note that while R-Type Final 2 will continue to get support on Switch and PS4, the extra features in the PS5 release of this game will remain exclusive to the PS5.  The King of Fighters XV (KOF XV), the latest title in the long-running fighting game series coming from SNK Corporation, recently released a new demo version that you can check out now for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
 Square Enix recently launched their War of The Visions Final Fantasy Brave Exvius crossover collaboration event with Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. From now until May 30, players can summon beloved heroes and villains from the anime adaptation, undertake collaborative challenge missions and grab free gifts for both veterans and newcomers.
 Dokapon Kingdom: Connect, the new Switch remake of the classic board-game-meets-JRPG game, got a new trailer this week: "A Schemer's Guide to Dokapon"! Also, a new website character update for the game has been released. Everything can be seen below.
 Square Enix Collective & FuturLab recently announced that the super soothing Powerwash Simulator will be released in a boxed edition, available to pre-order now with official release on June 13, 2023. This comes alongside the announcement of a FREE Muckingham expansion update, available to play on April 18. This marks the beginning of an exciting roadmap of content to come!
