Platform(s): PS Vita Back at it again with the Hakuoki review, and this time it's Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms! The game is also known as Hakuoki: Shinkai Hana no Shou in Japan, and storywise happens after Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds. It's recommended to start with Kyoto Winds to have all of the character and story background, but the game does start off with a very brief summary of the events from the last game to get the player up to speed, which is really neat and a great reminder after not having played the first game in a couple months. Still, I would highly suggest checking out the first game in the series, which you can find our review for it HERE Player(s): 1
Platform(s): PlayStation 4 From the developer of one of my favorite series, known as Disgaea, comes an action RPG with story, art, and presentation. All of which you can skip. Don't know what I mean? You will have an idea soon enough. Just a little background, I have not played or even seen gameplay of the original The Witch and the Hundred Knight, but I'm here for the sequel. This is from a fresh perspective and not bridging comparisons between the two. Now, let's take a look. VOEZ is a fantastic rhythm game that originated on mobile platforms but was eventually released on the Nintendo Switch early in its life as a digital download. In order to expand our options, PM Studios and acttil will be releasing VOEZ on physical formats this summer!

Platform(s): PC Boy, I love me some good, wholesome yuri titles. I’ve never heard of this series prior to reviewing it and at first I wasn’t too excited. I’m the type that judges a book by its cover, or in this case, a VN by its cover. It looked basic and it even started out slow but OH MY GOODNESS. If I was allowed to, this review would end up like one of those Facebook posts full of jumbled up words and emotions about how wholesome and amazing A Kiss for the Petals Maidens of Michael is. Instead, let’s review. Player(s): 1
Platforms: PC Same song, Different melody. A game that has good ambiance has the means of being amazing regardless of its genre. Innocent Gray has continued to awe me with their horror thriller visual novels and I needed this sequel to satisfy my lust for answers and art. Warning: This game contains eroge, blood, gore, and spoilers from the first game. I began this experience with the full intent of giving The Spirit Master of Retarnia a complete and well-thought out review. As I first started playing, though it had nothing extra special, the game certainly was enjoyable enough to keep me interested. I’ve played tons of dungeon crawlers in my life, so I figured playing this one on Hard wouldn’t be an issue. For the most part, it wasn’t, but I did lose to the first boss. This resulted in a scene that left me not wanting to play the game anymore.
WARNING: I will make it perfectly clear that while I don’t show any NSFW pictures in here, I do talk about some NSFW items. The game is totally a hentai game, as you probably know going into this, but I leave this warning anyway, to be safe. Player(s): 1-2 (Vs., Online, Local)
Platforms: PC Acceleration of Suguri 2 was released on Steam March 7th of this year by indie developer Orange Juice. The company is a circle for game developers, so each game they release can sometimes be a bit different from those they've release previously. Mostly what they seem to produce shooter-type games, with the random board game and/or visual novel thrown into the works to shake things up a bit. |
