Platforms: PlayStation 4 We will be taking a look at Metal Max Xeno, developed by Kadokawa Games and published by NIS America. The series has not seen a U.S. release since Metal Saga for the PlayStation 2 in 2006. It's a very colorful and fun entry into the series, but that's not to say it isn't without flaws or that it lacks content. It's a game that's set in an apocalyptic future where humanity is on the brink of extinction. There are tank battles, dungeon crawling, and lots of travel. You meet people along the way, forge a bond with your vehicles, and get to customize as you go along. Let's take a look at the latest in a series people have been hoping to get another American release, Metal Max Xeno. Player(s): 1
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam) Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk has all the elements you would think you’d need to make a solid dungeon crawling JRPG. With much of the staff behind Disgaea and other Nippon Ichi hits behind the development, a campaign with dozens of hours, and a huge amount of customization available to build the battle team of your dreams, my time with the game felt okay at best. It was a serviceable if not good dungeon crawler marred by a meh story, unnecessarily complicated game systems, and a lack of modern niceities that, while I get excluding them really gives a player an old school experience, ultimately renders the game frustratingly unfollowable at times. If by now you aren’t aware, acttil has been actively bringing as many of their fantastic games to the Nintendo Switch as they can, and DEEMO is no exception.

Platform(s): Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 From the developers of one of my favorite fighting games franchises, comes a video game featuring some of the more prominent women of past King of Fighters games. We will be taking a look into SNK HEROINES: Tag Team Frenzy. It boasts simple controls, a new win scenario, and customization. Do simple controls really make it stand out and easy to approach? Let's find out! |
