The August meet-up, dubbed "Gyaru Para Para Party", took place this past weekend and featured a lot of special events and sponsors to go along with its unique theming! FanimeCon always features a plethora of J-Fashion programming, and this year that programming included two separate Fashion Shows. While we were unable to attend the Pop! Show on Saturday, we did attend the Elegant Show on Sunday! Below you'll find a complete gallery from the event, as well as information regarding each of the designers on display.
All photos by Ivan Aburto. Harajuku Day LA had the biggest of glow ups recently when it took part in the opening celebration for the “Yes, KAWAII is Art -EXPRESS YOURSELF-" exhibition in Hollywood. A collaboration with Japan House LA, this event featured multiple fashion shows, the usual Harajuku Day LA vendors, and a pop-up booth from Japanese brand 6%DOKIDOKI. 6%DOKIDOKI designer Sebastian Masuda was also a special guest of the event, and we have several galleries to share with you all.
Anime Los Angeles returned to the Long Beach Convention Center recently with their Fashion Show taking place on the second day of the convention. This year's show featured six designers were featured this year and the half time show featured a live performance. Harajuku Day and Lolita Collective recently held a Loloita Fashion Tea Party with the theme "Dolls & Demons" in Little Toyko's Chado Tea Room. The paid event featured an Afternoon Tea Service, some photo shoots, a giveaway for "Favorite Doll" & "Favorite Demon", and a Fashion Walk that was open to all.
