It’s weird to write about Final Fantasy XV in something other than an “I wonder when it’ll finally release” capacity. After a decade of development, a name change, two demos, and who knows what else, FFXV (nee Versus XIII) is out and real. My father stopped by my place over the weekend, and asked how it was. He spent a large amount of my youth watching me play Final Fantasies of yore, and all I had to say was “like no Final Fantasy I’ve ever played before, in a pretty good way.”

Kicking off the amazingly successful launch of the 7th Generation Pokémon games, we’ve already just been introduced to the newest Mythical Pokémon: Magearna. It released today in conjunction with the US release of Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, the newest Pokémon Movie. Magearna is a Steel/Fairy Pokémon who can be obtained by following these steps:
That’s it! Since this is done via QR Code, it will be available indefinitely. On another note, in case you didn’t know Arceus is available in X, Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire via Mystery Gift code ‘ARCEUS20’ (until December 31, only for those who had not claimed Arceus earlier in the year), while Munchlax is available in Sun and Moon via Wi-Fi Mystery Gift (until January 11).
I hope you’re all enjoying the game as much as me! Look forward to my review tomorrow, and I’ll see you all in the Festival Plaza! Have fun with Magearna! - Teepu Pictures © The Pokémon Company Magearna Arceus Munchlax A Magical High School Girl
Platform: PC, via Steam Player(s): 1 Price: $9.99 USD These days, a top-down roguelike dungeon crawler with retro-style graphics is the most common style of game you can find on any platform. Every now and then, though, somebody comes around to try and make something unique out of that formula. A Magical High School Girl has a really interesting premise, but does it break the mold of the most overdone genre in modern gaming? Welcome to the Tower of Barbs! The latest game from the legendary Suda51 and Grasshopper Studios went live exclusively on Playstation 4 this morning. A free-to-play hack 'n' slash adventure, LET IT DIE sees the player struggling to climb a massive tower in post-apocalyptic Tokyo. This brutal action game harkens back to the difficult melee combat of Dark Souls while adding a fresh spin of its own.
Platform: Steam
