October 29, 2019 7:00 PM PDT Hosts: Manuel Konaru Jordan Description: Ultra Podcast Z is bringing back its special Halloween episodes again this year and this last one is by far the most random. Almost cancelled, we decided to have a very chill night and just talk randomness among things like revisiting topics and discussing our Halloween plans. It's worth noting that Jordan showed up late (about 30 minutes in) and Konaru mainly was represented by a live drawing screen. The topic eventually shifted to ARGs and we discussed Daisy Brown at length before moving onto the "Hey Walter, Meet My Girlfriend" video, which also marked Jordan's entry. Besides an amusing story from Jordan regarding why he was late, we moved into some gaming. After spending a long time troubleshooting it, we went into an... interesting game of "7 Days To Die" and ultimately... died! We unfortunately lost audio in the stream not too long after that, but we think it's still a lot of fun if you want something different from us! Originally thought to just troll the Party City website for fun, but we ended up mainly doing random topics and revisiting a few of the previous ones since we had two new co-hosts for this one, Ren and Jasmine, both returning after long absences. There's lots of fun to be had here and we shared a lot regarding what it's like working at a Halloween store, which is a special kind of retail hell, and more. We were joined by Haro and Badman, who've both joined us in the past, and we spent a lot of time talking creepypastas! Not just sort of retelling some of our favorites (and why they're our favorites in general) but also looking into why some people don't seem to like them much these days. Even though we had a focus on internet spoops, we accidentally discussed a lot of viral videos and pictures from the Myspace days and there was a lot of randomness all around! We also took a stab at discussing the Deep/Dark Web, The Silk Road, and the weird new trend of the Dark Web Mystery Box videos that have been popping up all over YouTube. While a bit all over the place, this was a fun episode and a fitting addition to the Halloween Specials! We had a lot of messes here and Sylvia was being a little more difficult than usual and there were sound issues here and there that were never truly fully resolved, but there was a lot of fun to be found through all the off-topicness and randomness! As mentioned above though, this episode saw delayed publication due to the fact that we felt it should be edited down by about 20-25 minutes before making it to YouTube, but unfortunately something was wrong within the file that kept us from doing that. As a matter of fact, we had to re-render even this long version to make it uploadable at all. Joining us this week was Warren (AKA Frederick Badman. Referred to as "Badman" in this one) and while parts of it were mostly just us chatting, due mainly to an inactive chat, we had a lot to say about some of the biggest Japanese metal bands out there! Also worth mentioning that our intended brief talk on X/X JAPAN turned into a very long rant about the band, Toshl, and YOSHIKI! We closed it out with more specific band coverage and even dipped a bit into some current metal stuff and the odd topic of Visual Kei vs. Metal. We kinda missed the second anniversary (which more properly would've been the week of the "Top Ten Saddest Anime Deaths") but we decided that we could kill two birds with one stone by ALSO having a bit of fun with our typical "Friday The 13th" podcasts! For those that don't know we always try to host a podcast on Friday The 13th dedicated to Alt Idols and this time around we accidentally scheduled that VERY topic earlier in the week on the main episode!
