On Saturday, July 28, YOSHIKI made a surprise appearance on stage with internationally famous DJ and producer Skrillex at one of Japan's biggest outdoor music events, Fuji Rock Festival '18, held at Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata, Japan.
YOSHIKI gave fans a special preview of his new theme song for the anime series Attack on Titan on his official Instagram page, revealing the clip of “Red Swan” by “YOSHIKI feat. HYDE” along with a montage of imagery from the anime’s third season which begins July 22 on NHK in Japan.

Yoshikitty, the popular Sanrio character based on X JAPAN's leader, YOSHIKI, got off to one of her strongest starts ever in this year's Sanrio Character Ranking Contest. Voting began on May 10th and the initial results show that Yoshikitty ranked 4th on the very first day, while the original Hello Kitty ranked 3rd. YOSHIKI aims to have the character rank first this year, with the help of powerful backup from fans across the globe who can vote daily to support the spiky-haired, headbanging rock star of Sanrio's lineup.
We recently got the chance the attend MIYAVI's concert at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles and were given the opportunity to interview him following it! While many of our readers may know MIYAVI for his work in Visual Kei, a very different MIYAVI rocked the crowd that night. MIYAVI is a world-renowned musician, actor and philanthropist, dedicated to bridging cultures across the globe with his music and work for numerous humanitarian causes. Often referred to as the “Samurai Guitarist,” MIYAVI is known for his unconventional style of guitar playing – performing not with a pick, but with his fingers in a method dubbed “slap style.” MIYAVI was celebrated internationally for his acting debut, portraying Imperial Japanese Army sergeant Mutsuhiro Watanabe in the 2014 film, Unbroken, directed by Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie. On the humanitarian side, MIYAVI continues his important work with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, which works to aid and protect refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people. In 2016 and 2017, MIYAVI visited refugee camps in around the world and helped to spread the message of the ongoing global refugee crisis.
