DIR EN GREY recently shared the MV for their latest single with the world and it is indeed a sight to see! The video itself is powerful, with a black and white aesthetic, featuring symbolism for rituals and more. The MV comes to us with both a censored and an uncensored version, but here they're labeled as “restricted” and “unrestricted” respectively. After watching the content you'll probably agree that this was most likely the right choice as the video can be quite graphic for some. The title of the song, "Ningan wo Kaburu" can be interpreted as “to wear humans” or as “suffering humans” and can be quite the intimidating name for those who can read it or for those who bother to look it up. The song itself is masterfully done. Starting with a clean guitar and progressively speeding up to more hardcore riffs, the music gives the MV depth to the actions being shown. Giving the song small breakdowns, with vocalist kyo screaming, entices metal fans to keep their ears open and eyes wide when watching this MV. The band going back and forth between the darker and lighter fashion gives the viewers a sense of darkness emanating from the PV. This is what DIR EN GREY fans have come to love about the band and it's good to see them in their element. It's this dark metal vibe that the band brings to their music that keeps us all coming back! Please support the band and be sure to check out the restricted version of the MV below! ーヒカル |
