J-Metal Reviews: TILT "THE BEAST IN YOUR BED"

Hahaha! I’m back for another J-Metal review! This week I’ll just be going straight into it! I present to you all a band forged in the Aichi (Nagoya) region's Metal scene. Not much is known about the band, but there is one thing for certain: they are one the reigning kings of Nagoya! Welcome to the iron throne, TILT!

Although information about TILT is limited, they have quite the resume. From 1984 to 1994, they consistently recorded albums, and one of these albums is what I have brought to the metal masses this week.

For a debut record "THE BEAST IN YOUR BED" is simply one big joyride. With a runtime of approximately forty-one minutes and ten tracks, this album is jam packed with the finest brand of Japanese Sleaze Metal! The high voltage energy here is enticingly mesmerizing and the cocaine fueled excess of the Sunset Strip will be coursing through your veins like nobody’s business. Each track is decimated with catchy killer licks and riffs that will get your body groovin'. I must also praise the vocalist Takeshi “American Cherry” Sakakibara. Takeshi absolutely nails it! His rough, rangey vocal texture adds an extra grimy tough sound to each track. Although the band’s sound isn’t the most innovative, they definitely have absolute control in making killer f**king tunes!

What is my verdict for this week’s record? If you read the above, it is quite obvious! I 100% recommend this album! Although TILT’s hair/glam sound is quite elementary, they still manage to tear shit up all while royally kicking ass. The tunes hit all the right places in the ears. They are catchy as hell; no one should pass this one up. Get your asses up and enjoy some wicked tunes on Tilt’s The Beast In Your Bed!
