We had a "lost" episode (Episode 56) that was so weird we decided to only let those who watched live see it and then we had to reschedule this one. Originally outlined as a pure BNK48 episode, we decided to make it an overseas 48g episode in general though. As chance would have it we sort of took a break to watch the documentary "BNK48: Girls Don't Cry" and released a review that was liked by the director no less. So the episode still covers all overseas 48g, but has a strong focus on BNK48 and GDC. It's also worth noting that said director also shared our live show and we had a lot of Thai fans on our twitch, which was amazing! January 29, 2019 7:00 PM PDT Hosts: Manuel Konaru Julily Description: Ultra Podcast Z has it's first OIC (Overseas Idol Collection) special episode! This was actually going to be the topic for last week but it got moved because of scheduling issues. Now, you're going to notice right away that there are some things odd about this podcast. For starters we had to record a new intro and there are several edits in it. Well, Manuel's mic wasn't on but no one mentioned it for about twenty minutes into the podcast! So keep in mind any weird silences weren't actually silences to the hosts. Also most long stretches of silence have been cut out. Thankfully a lot of the intro was taking up by Julily's introductions so there wasn't a lot lost that isn't replaced by the new intro. Anyhow, please ignore that and enjoy anyway as this was a really fun episode where we got more than a little carried away with our love of overseas idols! Since the year is winding down we decided to go back over some of the biggest shocks, our best/worst convention moments, our best/worst JPop moments, and more! We also had a nice, long talk in the middle about the new rise of KPop in 2018 and how that affects the world of JPop! We closed it all out with some of our favorite songs/artists and some predictions for 2019. While this might seem like one of the more structured episodes in a while we also had a lot of randomness where we discussed to proper pronunciation of "Megan" as well as her ice-breaking tactic of having people punch her in the abs! December 4, 2018 7:00 PM PDT Hosts: Manuel Konaru Sylvia Claus Description: Ultra Podcast Z launched it's second season with new logo and formatting and as usual we had a bit of a shaky start! Following the cancellation of the previous episode, we had a lot to live up to and while our content was as fast moving and random as ever there were some minor issues here and there, not the least of which was a bit of an audio mix issue regarding Manuel's microphone. That said we still managed to get a lot of topics in and went on for over two and a half hours without even falling back on long intros and outros! Sylvia was back and in full Krampus form and her original appearance on the podcast was the impetus to change up our format so it was only fitting to have her here and while this episode was a bit shaky at times we think it was really fun overall!
