This outfit of the month is super different for me. I did my first pastel/ decora look inspired by one of Harajuku Day’s coordinators Monique Lea! I felt so different, no one recognized me and I honestly barely recognized myself. It was cute overall! Though, I think I’ll stick to darker styles since it feels more like myself. It was amazing to try something new regardless!!!
The cute long pink shirt is from a little booth deep inside the Chinatown swap meet, and so are my clear glitter platforms! The wig I’m wearing is from Ali Express I believe and the choker, and hair bows are from Melanie Martinez’s line sold at Hot Topic. My cute star ring is courtesy of my friend Bethany who makes the cutest jewelry and art! I hope you all enjoy this unique outfit!!!
Hello all! This month’s Harajuku Day meetup consisted of a short field trip to Chinatown and lots of fun shopping! It was hot weather, so I did my best to wear something cool but as you all know me, I don’t own anything but black. To add to that, I decided to treat myself for a bit of back to school shopping and bought this AMAZING Sex Pot Revenge dress from Fickle Wish (located inside the Little Tokyo Plaza). It’s my first self-bought SPR piece as well! Which I’m super proud of because as we all know this brand can get a bit more than expensive. Its long, comfortable and flowy! Plus the crescent moon in the center happens to match my new tattoo. I absolutely love it. The shoes are my super old Demonia boots thats I haven’t worn in what seems about a year. They’re tall, and a tiny bit uncomfortable in the long run. (I had to buy some smaller replacement shoes from the Chinatown swap-meet later in the day). Sad to say, but they are even more uncomfortable that my giant YRU Platform Heels. I think this might be my most comfy outfit to date! Sorry for the lack of updates once again! Continuing the Visual Kei inspired series, I decided to do an eye look based off of Meto’s makeup from the Raven PV
Hey guys! I’ve recently been focusing on more toned down makeup which is why I haven't uploaded anything on here in a while. I will though, try and start a new visual kei artist inspired and or cosplay based series for the makeup looks I upload on A to J! I plan on doing Meto from Mejibray’s Raven PV and other more creative & unique looks from visual kei bands!
Ever since we’ve teamed up with Harajuku day, we at A-to-J have been getting keener on covering more Japanese fashion-related content. What a perfect way to do so by highlighting a local event by a local J-Fashion brand!
Meet this talented hairdresser, wig-maker, photographer, and costume maker from Moscow, Russia!
I've been on a search to find a nice, decent, and cheap liquid eyeliner. My first thought was to head to Daiso here in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. They sell cute and cheap makeup for as low $1.50!!! Most being great quality for the price. Though I've never tried any eyeliners from the shop, I decided to give it a try and experiment with a different brand for once.
I chose the cutest looking jar on the shelf: KLEANCOLOR Pixie Jar Liquid Eyeliner! I picked it up and decided to quickly try it on my hand. It was a decent quality! As I tried to screw the top back on, the crystal like upper part snapped off and I thought I had broken it. To my surprise, it was ANOTHER eyeliner!!! The soft kohl pencil tip peaked out. It was a two in one! Both a liquid and pencil liner in one product! I decided to take it.
Harajuku Day (HD) have been officially up and running since November 2015! The year has gone by so fast and it's crazy to think about how much they have grown in a matter of twelve short months. On November 21st 2016, Harajuku Day celebrated their one year anniversary where it started it all: Weller Court in Little Tokyo! Complete with a short Harajuku Fashion Walk, as well as plenty of love and thanks to the photographers that have also supported them throughout this year.
Here are some awesome photos from this particular meetup!
