Welcome! Here's the thirty-ninth episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and we managed to follow up one of our shortest episodes in recent months with one of our longest! We had a theme this time around again and this time everyone knew what it was. What was that theme? Well, "guilty pleasure media" of course! This was originally angled at anime and the like but would be expanded to all media as we discussed this following the previous DTL. Molly is still gone (though apparently might've been on in an alternate universe) and Kyuu once again did a legit presentation. There was more genderbending stuff from Callie, more weird stuff from Pleiades, more music from Warren, and more bs from Manuel. A great episode all around that managed to be very varied even with a theme. A slow start and long presentations all around kept this one really long though, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Check this one out for a lot of random outbursts, and that weird laugh thing from Callie, and stick around by learning a few things. While we're not sure if themes will keep popping up every episode, there will be a theme in the upcoming DTL so keep an eye out for that one too! Welcome! Here's the thirty-eighth episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and this proved to be one of those rare "quick" shows that happen every so often and see us wrap everything up in under four hours. It probably helped in this one that we were down a host and only had four presentations, but it was still quite the rare feat with recent DTLs. Presentations were all on point (Though there was some weird technical difficulties with Pleiades, but that kind of seems par for the course these days.) and even though the in-between banter seemed a bit more restrained compared to previous weeks, there still was a lot of nonsense to go around from "Bass Pro Shop Callie", random clips being shown that were supposed to stay private, and even the VERY abrupt ending to the show that even had the hosts shocked. There also was something of a graphical upgrade in the show itself and we tweaked a few things on the live stream end so don't ever let it be said that Drink Talk Learn is a never-evolving show! Will the coming weeks prove to be as nice as this one? Well, you shall have to wait and see! Welcome! Here's the thirty-seventh episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and this was a long, wild one! They all though aren't they? Anyhow, this one had six presenters, which hasn't happened all too often lately and it featured some call backs to past episodes, namely in the continuation of Warren's "Final Fantasy Logos" presentation and in Callie's "The Uncanny Valley In 2021" which saw her create a Manuel VTuber! Is "DTL Lore" a thing at this point? Elsewhere Manuel talked about Deep Purple's "Burn", Pleiades talked about Daisuke Ishiwatari, and by extension Guilty Gear and Blazblue, Kyuu talked about cat diabetes (in her first "real" presentation even though she's been on about ten episodes), and Molly spent over a hundred dollars in Girl Scout Cookies to compare and rank the two separate bakeries that produce them. There was a lot of fun here and the in-between bits were surprisingly kept mostly in check even though we still pushed well past five hours in this one. This was also the first episode where we decided to use (maybe overuse) the annotations feature during Molly's presentation. A great show that is slowly spawning its own lore and memes so check it out and share your fav moments in the comments below! Welcome! Here's the thirty-sixth episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and this was a wild one! Hao returned as a guest again replacing Molly who had to take the week off and we managed to fill in a lot of randomness with what we initially thought would be a shorter episode. All the presentations ran a little longer than we first thought they would, which is usually the case so we shouldn't have been so surprised, but what really made this episode was Callie getting EXTREMELY drunk halfway through and barely surviving until the end. Seeing as Callie was hosting the actual stream it made it all the more interesting to wonder if she'd just pass out whenever she dropped to the floor to lie down. Thankfully she did and it probably was the main reason for the in-between sessions in the second half being so tight and to the point. Also, apparently this episode had a secret "manga" theme that no one told Manuel about, though there WAS the mention of comic books in the presentation on The Toxic Avenger so perhaps the theme went throughout the entire show after all... Here's the thirty-fifth episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and we had a full roster of six for this one, a rarity in recent DTL streams and an interesting juxtaposition to our just four presentations the week before. Molly is back in this one and we had Hao, a friend of Pleiades, join us as well in all this nonsense. Hao talked Animorphs which was a topic that everyone enjoyed, and Manuel talked something that wasn't Chinese, a lot of randomness all over the place with more fav YouTube channels and mobile games, progressive D&D gameplay (as in ways to spice things up) and a look into what "gar" is. Pleiades also put in the rarest thing of all in a DTL, a presentation from him that was under twenty minutes. The breaks in between were quite variable though and could either drag on with nonsense regarding horses, or they could last only a couple minutes. We let this run quite long though which is somewhat unusual to recent streams as we extremely rarely go above the five hour mark. Here's the thirty-fourth episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and we were once again down to four presentations though this one is interesting as we had Wesley as a guest, along with Kyuu sitting in, but still only had five on-screen. Callie was actually hosting and occasionally popped in as a disembodied voice. It was a very random episode that should've went by fast but pushed well past four hours and took almost an entire hour before we even bothered to get to the presentations themselves. That said there were some good ones here with Wesley talking gaming, Manuel Chinese History, and Pleiades his usual weird topics, basically everyone was on point. Expect a lot more deviations on this one but it was always in good fun and we wouldn't have had it any other way. The big question is whether we'll ever get back to starting the actual "DTL" portion of the show within twenty minutes like the old days or not... Time will tell... Welcome! Here's the thirty-third episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and we were down a host on this one but we more than made up for that with our usual randomness and some cool presentations! Kyuu was on this one just to fill out the fifth person quota (has to do with the layout) but there were only four presentations. Warning right off the bat that Warren's presentation has some CRAZY imagery that we could barely watch even live so check that section out at your own risk. We also had to cut out about a minute from Pleiades presentation thanks to him showing more anime so sorry for that jump cut. All the presentations were great though, even the two we just mentioned. Pleiades might've gone a little too long, but we allowed it due to the fact that we were moving pretty fast and were down a presentation anyway. Also, it was a very topical presentation and followed a couple of his previous ones this year. Elsewhere there's a casual presentation on Marcus Hutchins from Callie and some Sun Wukong nonsense from Manuel. Drinking Game Idea: Take a shot every time we mention peeing. A fun quick show and we're slowly edging into 2021 proper and the time is flying! Lastly: Note that there was some issue regarding recording (as in Callie didn't hit "record"...) so the first half of this video is the stream VOD and the second is the recording though the quality is similar between both. Also, the thumbnail was taken from that frozen screen (you'll know if you watch) before Callie's presentation so bear with the blurriness! Welcome! Here's the thirty-second episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and this was a crazy one! We were joined by Josh on this one (who could be seen in the background of DTL #30) and it was all of us up to our usual nonsense where we managed to squeeze in six presentations still under five hours, something we weren't able to do not too long ago. All sorts of presentations are here covering things like rainmakers, Pokemon fan games, MSG, types of therapy, and more. Almost everyone stuck to about a thirty minute presentation and even though we had the slowest start of any DTL so far (FORTY MINUTES until our first presentation!) we were really tight in all the other in-between segments. It's worth mentioning that this was the night after the debut of A-to-J's 18+ "Full Hard Podcast" so there was a little bit of confusion when it came to putting this one up, so apologies for any editing oddities that seemed to crop up in this one. Welcome! Here's the thirtieth-first episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and we had a nice slow start to this one. We somehow managed to do five presentations, that were all pretty long, and still wrap up not too far over four hours, a feat in our DTL endeavors! The cast here was the same as last week, minus DarkWest, though it's worth noting that Molly left early about midway through. With all this in mind, it's also notable that we not only had the longest intro ever (WELL over 30 minutes before we got anywhere near our first presentation) and we even changed up the order for the first time in we can't remember when with Warren going second-to-last rather than first. There were a lot of cool presentations too with lots of virtual backgrounds and maybe even a thirst trap Pleiades when we first started. If you're a fan of long breaks of banter between presentations though you might be a little disappointed as we moved really fast on this one and, besides the opening segment, we didn't really let the lull take over and tried to get to the next presentation once everyone was back on screen. A really strong showing in the new year if we do say so ourselves! We had taken the last two weeks off and the episodes that we closed out 2020 showed how tired we could be in the lack of actual presentations, but we really picked it up with this one that not only brought Molly and DarkWest back, but also saw us present six presentations! That said, it was a really tight show that didn't have a lot of down time and we definitely didn't drag out the in-between segments but we still had a lot of fun goofing off with each other and the chat. Warren's presentation was more an update on his life, and Callie's was more of an outline of a party she plans on having, but elsewhere we were all pretty informative with presentations on Eurovision, EDM, odd localized video games, and even a talk into stocks and investments. Lots of awesomeness here and we're off to a good start into 2021!
