Here's the twenty-second episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and while we didn't mention it live, Manuel has a particular affinity for repetitions of "2" so this one was sure to be special! First to be addressed is the lineup, Kyuu joined us for funsies on this one and didn't actually present, the first time we've ever done that and it was just as random live as it looks. Molly was originally scheduled to be on this one, repeating her presentation from the week before, but she cancelled but still hung out for the middle part of the DTL in voice only form. Host nonsense aside, we had a lot of fun with this one with Warren doing a VERY random set of things he saw online (some of which are censored in this version as they REALLY triggered us), Callie talked VTubers, Manuel talked Anton LaVey & The Church of Satan, Weston did a follow-up to his previous presentation and talked Classic Halloween TV & Film Specials, and Pleiades closed it out by talking Lain, even though we kinda failed getting that site to do things we liked! Check it out as there's a lot of fun here and we even managed to keep this show as tight as other recent ones time-wise! Here's the twenty-first episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and DTL is finally old enough to drink! We decided early on that this was going to be a "chill" and "easy" show since we only had five hosts, we were all regulars, and we had all put together presentations that we felt we could present relatively quickly. This started the idea that we would finish around 10 PM Pacific (making the show about four hours and we actually hit this) but the show became a little cursed as we kept trying to squeeze that time closer to the 9 PM mark. There was very little in-between banter as there was Timer-chan checking in on us there and we're not sure if this is something that we're going to continue from here on. That said we DID move fast through a lot of presentations and were making really good time until we hit Molly's presentation that faced a lot of technical difficulties. Callie also left at this point to catch another live stream and Pleiades moved into a presentation that was quite drawn out probably due to his sobriety. Molly's presentation also hit some snags as she was once again doing the Hell Noodles and couldn't really speak during it. That said, not all weeks are hits but there was fun to be had here and Molly will be re-presenting her presentation this week! So enjoy! We had some weird deviations here (ALL THAT PEE TALK!) but it's nothing that ultimately got cut out. Besides Callie and Pleiades, Weston and Haro joined us once again as guests and there were lots of cool topics covered on this one from Phobias to Peruvian urbam legends, and even family-friendly spooky movies, the latter of which prompted a guest appearance by Gizmo! Here's the nineteenth episode of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and we're just about to leave our teen years behind us! It's also finally officially Spooptober so we're trying to include more "spooky" topics into the DTLs where we can! ALSO ALSO, due to continued hosts not being available this week (namely Callie and Pleiades, the latter missing an episode for the first time) we took on two new people, Matthew and Eddie! They definitely did an amazing job for first timers and even though we don't vote for winners anymore, it's fair to say that they'd be way up there. Matthew talked about little sister anime which was a WILD topic to be covering when we got a raid from Nyaru (who hosts Ultra Podcast Z!) and we even got a bunch of gifted subs during that. Crazy stuff. Eddie talked about metal music with an emphasis towards singing which was quite awesome and elsewhere we had presentations on Ghost Stories (that anime with the wild af dub), scary horror movies (at least to a young Warren!), a game show featuring strange animal mating habits, and Peruvian cryptids! That latter one was awesome though as the "pishtaco" jokes write themselves and llama-man (read: the "jarjacha") was wild too! Anyway, check it out and stay safe and spoopy!
