Always looking to branch out in regards to the artists that we interview we jumped at the opportunity to interview 叫號(Kyuho) of Mandmans Esprit. This interview is a bit different in that it not only is a bit removed from what we usually cover, but also in terms of some of the answers we were given. Madmans Esprit is a post/progressive black metal, visual kei project based in both Seoul, Korea and Berlin, Germany. Influenced by DIR EN GREY, Opeth, Radiohead, ms. isohp romatem, Human Traces, and more, they bring their unique sound to the world and will be releasing their latest album "무의식의 의식화" (Muisikui Uisikhwa) this October. Last night, Japanese alt-rock legends the pillows took to the stage at the Mayan in Los Angeles for the final show of their Mono Me You Sun tour. Sponsored by Adult Swim, the tour served to both market the new seasons of FLCL and to promote the pillows' upcoming 22nd studio album REBROADCAST. With their 29th anniversary as a band approaching fast, the pillows are set to prove that they've still got it - and they do.

Japanese all-girl rock act and Epic Records Japan recording artist, SCANDAL, has announced a series of live concert dates that will see the band performing in select cities in the U.S. and Mexico later this summer. The news was announced today by the group’s management company, ROOFTOP, Inc.

Known for providing several songs that are instantly recognizable to fans of anime everywhere, we were excited to discuss everything from their formation to their thoughts on how to keep a band together after so many years. fhána is a four-person unit consisting of three male sound producers, Junichi Sato, yuxuki waga, kevin mitsunaga and the female vocalist, towana. They made their major debut by releasing “Que Sera, Sera” (Ending Theme of TV anime ”The Eccentric Family”) in August 2013. They were elected for “iTunes NEW ARTISTS 2014” in the brightest newcomer category. fhána released their 13th Single “Watashi no Tame no Monogatari ~My Uncompleted Story~” in January 2018, which was used as the opening theme for the anime series "Märchen Mädchen." Released in January 2017 as the theme song for the anime Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, fhána's 10th single "Aozora no Rhapsody" exceeds 18 million views on YouTube. The unit also performs around the world and actively produces work with other artists. UPDATE: the majority of the tour dates have sold out, with at least one event moving to a larger venue to meet unexpectedly high demand. With FLCL: Progressive set to launch this weekend, alt-rock titans The Pillows teamed up with Adult Swim to tour the US in support of the new anime. The band is known for their soundtrack to the cult classic first season of FLCL, and will be lending their talents once again to the upcoming second and third seasons. The Pillows will be joined on the tour by pop-punk group noodles and former Smith Westerns vocalist Cullen Omori. The full list of the band's US tour dates can be seen below. Girls rock band BRATS — formed by sisters Rei Kuromiya (ex. Ladybaby) and Aya Kuromiya — will release their first full length album on July 25, 2018!
Japanese rock group URBANGARDE celebrated their 10th Anniversary with a spectacle-filled concert titled “KEKKON SHIKI” at Nakano Sun Plaza on April 8, 2018!
