About "Kaguya-sama: Love Is War": The quick-witted and hilarious series based on Aka Akasaka’s manga series published in WEEKLY YOUNG JUMP magazine quickly charmed fans from all over the world since premiering in January of 2019. Produced by A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, Blue Exorcist) and directed by Record of Grancrest War’s Mamoru Hatakeyama, the series follows Kaguya Shinomiya, voiced by Aoi Koga (Angel’s 3Piece, Two Car) and Miyuki Shirogane, voiced by Makoto Furukawa (Fate/Apocrypha, One Punch Man), as they engage in a highly cerebral warfare, which usually unfolds into a uproarious comedy of errors commentated by the narrator, voiced by Yutaka Aoyama (Gintama, Black Clover). “Kaguya-sama takes the often-irritating anime romcom shenanigans to the extreme, playing off the awkwardness as the main event rather than an obstacle to an eventual hookup,” writes Anime News Network’s Michelle Liu. “The result is a hilarious train wreck of a romance that not only doles out great absurd humor but manages to stay refreshingly realistic when it comes to the characters' feelings.” All episodes of season 1 are currently available to stream on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and FunimationNow. Fans can also look forward to more Kaguya-sama: Love Is War with a recently announced season 2 on the way. For more information on Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, please visit: kaguyasama-anime.com |
