TMS Entertainment today announces the first 43 episodes of Case Closed, which originally aired in 1996 in Japan, will be available for streaming through Crunchyroll at 3pm PT on September 17, 2020! Season 1 of the hugely popular anime series that is fast approaching 1000th episode, is available worldwide excluding Asia and French and German speaking Europe, with subtitles in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, and Arabic.
Although Case Closed’s newest episodes have largely been available as simulcast on Crunchyroll in English speaking regions in America and Europe as well as Australia and New Zealand with English subtitles, fans will now be able to watch the early days of high school detective Shinichi Kudo as he struggles to adjust to his new life as Conan Edogawa. In some regions such as Russia, the release of these episodes will be the first time franchise will be made available.

“We are so excited to finally be able to introduce Case Closed to anime fans who reside in countries that previously were not able to watch the series.  And for many Case Closed devotees who currently enjoy the simulcast episodes of Case Closed, we hope that these episodes of Detective Conan’s early adventures add further enjoyment to the long-running series,” said Masami Tokunaga, Senior Vice President of TMS Entertainment USA, Inc. “We hope that this brings joy to Case Closed fans both old and new around the world. You’ll see whole lot more of Detective Conan as we have a master plan laid out for the great detective this year.”

The stream of the TV episodes come at the heel of a recently released Blu-ray of feature length TV special, Case Closed: Episode “One” and the announcement of 22nd feature film Case Closed: Zero the Enforcer Blu-ray release on September 29th. The two releases notably featured a brand-new dub cast.
