Touhou 16.5 Announcement

On July 19th, a blog post came out announcing the next spinoff for the Touhou series. As Touhou fans know, or even those that just follow the series, there is usually an "in-between game", that is either a fighter or a side story for a pervious game, that releases behind the current mainline titles.

This time it’s going to be a shooter spin off with Sumireko Usami in the main character spot and it will be titled "Nightmare Diary ~ Violet Detector". Series creator ZUN posted that it’ll be released on August 10, 2018, at Comiket 94 and is to be a follow up to Double Spoiler and Shoot the Bullet. Full details in the sources below.
