Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara is a new platforming title that comes to us by way of developers Chibig, Talpa Games, and Undercoders. The world of Mara was first established in 2020's Summer in Mara, but that game was something of a farming sim that featured the same world and characters. While genre shifts like this aren't exactly rare in the world of indie gaming, there are many elements that set Koa apart from your average platformer. We're going to have to do a deep dive into the game to discuss what those are, so let's get going!

Platforms: PC (via Steam) Krzyżacy: Knights of The Cross is a Deckbuilding RPG that comes by way of Olive Panda Studios. It also has a rather unique historical setting as it takes place in the world of the historical novel of the same name that involves the Polish-Lithuanian-Teutonic War that took place in the early 15th century. Besides its setting Knights of The Cross also stands out with its party building mechanics, its anime art style, and sprite graphics that are reminiscent of HD 2D titles. Is this a game you're going to want to check out though? And do all these different elements come together in a good way? Well, read on to find out! Platforms: PC Crimson Tactics: Rise of The White Banner is a Strategy RPG developed by Black March Studios. It is largely inspired by other SRPG titles like Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre, and recently released on Steam Early Access. Being a game large in scope, in a fairly complex genre, there is a long road of development still ahead of it, but we're going to examine it as it exists now and see if it lives up to the pedigree of the game's that have inspired it. Platforms: Nintendo Switch, XBox, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 Risky Woods is an Action Platformer that originally released on the Amiga, Atari-ST, and the Sega Genesis back in 1992. This re-release, brought to players by way of QUByte Classics, is based on the Sega Genesis version and adds some modern conveniences like save states to the mix. It's available on just about all modern consoles and we're going to take a look and see if this game is a must-have for retro enthusiasts, or if it's something that you'll want to leave sitting on the eShop shelves. Platform: PC STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator is a text-based... well, stock simulator that's out now on Steam Early Access by way of Ternox Games. Ternox Games is apparently a one-man team and the game's Early Access Roadmap promises lots of additions up until its expected full release next year. How does this game hold up as it stands now? Does the concept show promise? What are some places where it can be improved? Platforms: Nintendo Switch OMNIMUS is a visual novel with a sci-fi setting that recently released for the Nintendo Switch. It was previously released on Steam in Russian, and seems to have had a localization effort that's lead to its current form. Visual novels on the Switch are nothing new, but OMNIMUS changes things up with a story and setting that usually don't see in the genre, while still maintaining the romance elements and anime art style one expects. Since the game is rather short this review probably won't go into full depth into just how crazy unique that story is, but let's examine OMNIMUS fully and see if this is a world you're going to want to jump into!  Fans of the Trails series have had several games in the series come out the past few months, and there's one more in form of the Action RPG spin-off title The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails! This game is a departure from the rest of the Zemuria-centered JRPG series and NIS recently released a new Gameplay & Character Trailer that you can check out below!
