Capcom is happy to announce the huge expansion for Monster Hunter World will be out this September, bringing a new locale, new monsters, and more to hunters all over the world! Iceborne picks up right after the story in MHW, bringing players to the Hoarfrost Reach. A snow-covered ecosystem, it offers the largest locale in the game and brings with it a wealth of content for players to enjoy. A new Master Rank quest tier will challenge even the most veteran of hunters, with new foes such as Banbaro and Velkhana and returning favorites such as Nargacuga ready to pounce. New gameplay elements are also inbound, letting players refine and renew their strategies. Updates to the Slinger include use while a main weapon is drawn; the Clutch Claw, allowing players to grapple onto monster; and Flinch Shot, unloading Slinger ammo to stun monsters. Each weapon type will also see new combos and elements. Iceborne will launch for PlayStation4 and Xbox One September 6th, 2019, for $39.99. Several deluxe versions of the expansion will also be available. The MHW base game is required to play Iceborne, but a set containing both will also be available. A PC release is currently slated for Winter 2019. For more information about Iceborne and preorders, check out Capcom's blog. Stay tuned for more Iceborne news as the release gets closer!
