PPAP Star PIKOTARO Appears In New Hungry Jack's Promotion

PIKOTARO is back in the spotlight again and you can see him in the recent advert for Hungry Jack’s, an Australian burger chain that has over 400 locations in Australia, and it's getting major attention!

Revealed on Tuesday December 4th PIKOTARO appeared in Hungry Jack’s advertisement for a new menu item called the Summer BBQ Whopper. In the advert, he says, “Whopper + Pineapple = Uhhhh!” in a parody of his biggest hit “PPAP （Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen)”. You can see the web advert yourself below!

“PIKOTARO is the perfect fit for our Summer BBQ Whopper campaign. Not only is he a big fan of pineapples, but he also appreciates two great things coming together… in this instance, it’s a Whopper + Pineapple!” – comments Hungry Jack's regarding the reason to feature PIKOTARO.

The question now is: is he going to move from sushi to burgers? His re-released album, “I have a PPAP,” includes the song "Can you see I’m SUSHI” and became a hit in its own right rivaling "PPAP". Besides this Hungry Jack's collaboration, 2018 saw PIKOTARO was invited to many events in various countries in Europe and Asia.
