Mysterious Artist Project Arcanamusica Launches First Single: "My role (Vo.RiZ)" Along With MV

The first single from the “multidimensional media-mix project” Arcanamusica that was announced on February 2, and began activity on February 22, has been released!

"My role (Vo.RiZ)" began distribution on download and streaming sites from March 2, along with a music video by MONO-Devoid that was published on Arcanamusica’s official YouTube channel on the same date. The jacket image was revealed on Twitter at 22:22 JST the night before.

The song has a forceful rock sound with a sense of urgency, and straight-ahead, passionate lyrics that reflect the emotions and background stories of the characters who make up Arcanamusica and leave a strong impression. Take a listen and check out the unmistakable style of this song.

< Who is RiZ? >
Riz is the Arcana name of the character Shizuka Kawawa, which means it is his name within the fictional music streaming app Arcanamusica that is central to this project’s story. He is a 26-year-old programmer by day.

Arcanamusica is a new joint media-mix project by Shueisha and avex entertainment. The setting is a fictional music streaming app called Arcanamusica that suddenly appeared on smartphones out of nowhere. Each of the five characters has his own “Arcana name(AN)” – Shizuka Kawawa (RiZ), Gakunoshin Maimiya (DarkPalace), Riku Shibuyoshi (Shibukichi), Itsuku Igashima (Ikkun) and Kazuki Jujo (Rejje) – and the story follows each of them as they pursue their ambitions as singers to fulfill their wishes. Each character has their own Vocaloid producer providing their songs.

Each character is two-sided like the front and back of a tarot card, and they will release songs in pairs that mysteriously connect to one another.

About Arcanamusica:
A media-mix collaboration between Shueisha and avex that will create a “multidimensional” selection of music videos, music, animated manga with audio, social media content and more over the medium to long term. “Arcana” are cards within a tarot deck, and this project will echo a similarly mysterious theme, including memorable music, settings and stories with an air of secrecy.
