Maaya Sakamoto recently announced that “nina”, the opening theme of the TV anime Nina the Starry Bride, is now available as a digital single. Along with this announcement, the full version of the music video has also been released. You can check out both below! The music video was directed by Yasuyuki Yamaguchi, who has worked on many of Maaya Sakamoto’s music videos in recent years. The video’s concept is a car chase revolving around Sakamoto’s identity. The result is a stylish, beautiful, and suspenseful music video, with an unexpected conclusion compared to the previously released short version, so be sure to watch until the end! The lyrics for the opening theme “nina” were penned by Maaya Sakamoto herself. The physical CD single will be released on November 6. The coupling track, “Sekai no Himitsu,” features lyrics by Yumi Uchimura (la la larks), with composition and arrangement by Swedish sound creator Rasmus Faber, marking his first collaboration with Sakamoto in nine years since “Waiting for the Rain.” This coupling track is also scheduled for digital release on November 6!
