Kohana Lam Releases New Cover EP: "With A Lot of Emotion"

Kohana Lam recently released a new EP titled "With A Lot of Emotion". This new release makes her her second cover EP, following last year’s release of "While crying". You can check out the latest news regarding this EP, as well as some streaming links, below!

The EP includes a total of five songs, including the online hit "My R" by KurageP, "Hated by Life" by Iori Kanzaki, "Sparkle" by RADWIMPS, "Evening Primrose" by Novelbright, and "Kawaranai Mono" by Hanako Oku. The music video (which can be viewed below) for her cover of "Hated by Life" has received comments from fans not only in Japan but also from around the world, with commenters in English, Korean, Chinese and Spanish saying things like: “It brought me to tears!” and “You can feel her fragility and her strength.”.

The song is originally by Vocaloid producer Iori Kanzaki and Kohana Lam posted videos of her cover of the song to YouTube on September 1, in both 2021 and 2022. September 1 is the date when the number of suicides among young people in Japan is at its highest, and posting her cover of this song twice on this date is a clear indication of Lam’s intent to express her feelings, in line with her desire to connect with her listeners emotionally and to explore the subtleties of emotion. For this digital release, the song has received a brand new arrangement with added strings.
