Japan's SKY-HI & Taiwan-based Rapper ØZI Team Up for New Single: "Dream Out Loud feat. ØZI"

SKY-HI recently released a new single, titled "Dream Out Loud feat. ØZI", today (May 31) and it's available for download and streaming globally. Recorded with leading Japanese producer KM, the song combines a danceable sound and memorable horn riffs with SKY-HI’s catchy flow and acrobatic rhymes. "Dream Out Loud feat. ØZI" features guest vocalist ØZI, a top Taiwan-based artist who releases music for an audience around the world. Not only does SKY-HI have incredible skills as a rapper, he also uses his outstanding vocal, dance and trackmaking skills to self-produce music that is bursting with entertainment value. He is also the CEO of his own management agency and label BMSG, as well as serving as a producer for other artists – a true all-rounder who is shaping new possibilities for the future of the Japanese music scene.

He made his major-label debut in 2005 as a member of AAA, and around the same time, he began to take the mic at Tokyo clubs under the name SKY-HI, gaining props in the hip-hop scene. He made his major debut as a solo artist in 2013 and has released six albums, whose high quality has earned high praise in the hip-hop scene and beyond genre boundaries.

In 2020, SKY-HI launched the management agency and label BMSG and took on the role of CEO. In the same year, he hosted the boyband audition THE FIRST, and the following year he oversaw the newly formed boyband BE:FIRST as producer.

In 2018, ØZI won Best New Artist at the 30th Golden Melody Awards for his debut album ‘ØZI: The Album’. Before his major-label debut, the 2017 release of his single ‘Title’ proved ØZI’s unique style and indelible talent, and shook the media as well as the music scene around Greater China. His song ‘Paradise Island’ surpassed 1 million plays, fueling his talent as an R&B singer.

He has also collaborated with Japanese artists such as Kumi Koda on ‘Outta my control feat. ØZI’ and sanari on ‘Nights (feat.ØZI & eill)’, attracting attention for his global success.

With a philosophy that all of his original songs should be true to life and express his very core, he handles production of all the songs on his albums himself.
