Japanese Group LIL LEAGUE Release New Digital Single: "HYPE UP"

LIL LEAGUE, a Japanese dance/vocal/rap group whose members have an average age of 16 and who made their debut at the start of this year, recently released their latest single, titled "HYPE UP". Details on this release can be found below!

"HYPE UP" is their second digitally released single with lyrics based around a carnival theme. Meanwhile the music is based on Brazilian baile funk, making for an ambitious and cool combination. This release follows up their single "Higher/Monster" which released back in July.
 
LIL LEAGUE unveiled "HYPE UP" for the first time this summer, when they performed it on stage during their domestic hall tour, titled LIL LEAGUE LIVE TOUR 2023 “LIL GATEWAY”. They also performed it at this summer’s Mezamashi Live, a festival in Tokyo held by Fuji TV. The choreography features a different dance for each chorus, and was devised by the members themselves. This is the dance tune fans have been waiting for!
 
With less than a year since their debut, LIL LEAGUE continue to release a variety of new music. "HYPE UP" shows another new side to this group as they continue to grow. Link to their social media can be found below.

About LIL LEAGUE
LIL LEAGUE are a six-member dance, vocals and rap boyband with an average age of 16. The group formed as part of iCON Z 2022 ~Dreams For Children~, the largest audition in LDH history. Out of 48,000 entrants, the members of LIL LEAGUE were among 19 finalists in the men’s category; finalists including LIL LEAGUE were divided into three groups for the finals at Nippon Budokan, where they won the Grand Prix. The name LIL LEAGUE was chosen to represent the group’s hope that their youthful energy and momentum will create a unique new vibe.
 
The group made their major-label debut on January 11, 2023 with the release of their single ‘Hunter’. Despite being their debut release, the single went to No.1 on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Ranking chart, and No.2 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart. In July and August, LIL LEAGUE undertook their first hall tour of Japan, LIL GATEWAY.
