Platforms: Nintendo Switch, XBox, PlayStation 4, PC I recently reviewed Xuan Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains (that can be found HERE), and now the most recent entry into the long-running series, 2020's Xuan Yuan Sword 7, is also available in an official English-language release. We're going to be taking a look at the Nintendo Switch version of the game today, but it's also available on most current platforms. This console release comes to us by way of publisher EastAsiaSoft, who also published Mists Beyond The Mountains on consoles. I have a lot of love for this series, and quite a bit to say about this game, so let's dive right in!

Platforms: PC The Huns have launched an invasion of the Persian capital, and with their shamanic magic, have taken over the city. The only one capable of stopping them is a Prince of Persia who, thanks to the Sands of Time his magical bola, finds himself waking up at an oasis three days after the invasion started. Which is also the point where he dies. This is the setup for The Rogue Prince of Persia, the newest game in the long-running Prince of Persia series. Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC Ginger - The Tooth Fairy is a platforming game that recently released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. It's a game aimed at younger players, and is described by its developer as being "beginner friendly". Though I'm always wary of games that purposely aim for such a specific demographic, we're going to be taking a look at the Nintendo Switch version today to see if that goal was met. Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC Back when I reviewed Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore (Which can be found HERE) I wondered what other "bad" games could be made good if the developers took a different approach to the core concept. Little did I know at the time that a game inspired by another "bad" CD-i game, in this case Hotel Mario, was soon to drop into my lap! Enter Goliath Depot, a game that takes Hotel Mario's door-slamming mechanic, but crafts a far better game that rather simple premise. Having been previously released on Steam, it recently got a Nintendo Switch release by way of publisher Flynn's Arcade. That's the version we're going to be looking at today. Though that might seem like rather heavy subject matter, and indeed it is, the game beautifully tackles the topic in a way that I found to be quite surprising. Enter Terminal 81, a game that you might call a job simulator if not for the fact that it centers on a story that can be quite dark at times. Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 Playing something as simple as solitaire on a console might not be a very appealing prospect, but what if you throw in a bunch of cute anime girls too? Enter Pretty Girls Klondike Solitaire PLUS, the follow-up to the similarly titled Pretty Girls Klondike Solitaire. This sequel (?) features an all-new cast of anime waifus, and it's out now on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. We're going to be taking a look at the Switch version today, and basically take it easy with a few rounds of solitaire. This should be a pretty fun experience, so let's get right into it! |
