Description:
Welcome! Here's the twelfth of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and we had a bit of shuffling when it came to hosts both before and during the show! Replacing Molly was Racheal and replacing Matt was Weston. We were planning on just going on like this but we only got a few minutes in when Warren's power went out! After a bit of wondering what to do, we decided to bring on Molly to vote in Warren's place until his power came back on. Hence her presence in the first hour during the first two presentations. Warren's power would eventually come back on though so everything went off without a hitch otherwise. Besides that, the word of the day for this stream was "heat" as it was insanely hot in the West Coast during this time and not only was that the cause of Warren's power outage, it was also the cause of us moving somewhat quickly throughout this one as it was rather unbearable for some of us to continue into this stream beyond the five hour mark, drinking aside. All this taken into account it was still a really fun episode that saw another interactive-ish presentation from Callie in the form of her Programming 101 thing and us singing Last Christmas in its ENTIRETY! Unfortunately that latter bit isn't here because YouTube didn't like it, but you can hear us refer to it here and there. Anyway, there were some technical difficulties here and there and this particular render isn't as crisp as we would like, but it's still a fun DTL and should be checked out! Description:
Welcome! Here's the eleventh of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and it also served as a birthday episode of sorts for Manuel! Two awkward renditions of "Happy Birthday" (in English and Japanese) and we were ready to go! First of all, it's worth noting that we had a seventh host for this one in the form of Micheal who stuck around for the first three ish hours and the first 3.5 presentations, he left rather abruptly and we still aren't sure (at the time of this upload) as to why that was. Anyhow, we soldiered on and the presentations continued! Molly started a game show, and Callie got a little tipsy and talked about 3D printers, both of them while eating tacos. On the meta front, Matt discussed his own online history of shitposting and Warren continued his "Last Christmas" story, the latter of which is being stretched into a trilogy. Chinese instruments and Scientology rounded everything out and we had a pretty solid episode! Lots of interactions with out live audience, and a run time that BARELY came in under six hours made this one a whole lot of fun! Description:
Welcome! Here's the tenth of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and it feels like an awesome milestone of sorts as these streams were never really thought to be a regular thing, let alone with a regular "cast" and they've proven relatively popular with our viewership, all good things. The cast was crazy similar to last week except that we lost Racheal on this one and gained Molly, the latter originally scheduled to also be on last week as well. This one also was originally another six hour stream but we cut out a huge side discussion we had to make this YouTube video move just a little faster as it also contained our longest presentation ever at almost an hour. As wild as that was, this one also featured two of our shortest presentations ever as well! Truly a show that was all over the place, but was very fun! Also, not to give away a bit of one of the presentations, but there's the beginnings of a DTL game, so be sure to check that out! This was a very meta episode and only had two or three "traditional" presentations, but there was pretty much never a dull moment, and similar to last week, this one also featured random surprise appearances by Haro! Next week is a birthday stream, so be sure to keep an eye out for that one! Welcome! Here's the ninth of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and we see the return of Racheal as well as the continuation of Manuel's mic going a little crazy when things get heated! (Sorry about that!) This one both felt like it ran too long and moved really fast and while we all did manage to keep our presentations relatively short, Pleiades aside, we also did manage to continue this one running well over five hours. We had a lot of fun here on this one from the get-go and even though we lost Molly as a host even before we started, we had the added bonus of Leslie being an accidental guest host as she was at Warren's house during this stream and occasionally popped out. Anyhow, there were a lot of good presentations here, typical Chinese stuff, Drag Queens, Unsung Rock Bands, Shoujo Anime (which we'll add some notes on below), Shin Megami Tensei, and a presentation on the band "Crossbreaker" that really caused us to lose our shit. We can't help but wonder if you'll be as smitten with that presentation as we were. Welcome! Here's the eighth of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and we are coming off what was a six hour stream the week before so we made it a point to at least attempt to bring shorter presentations and move a little faster. We probably managed half of that as we were able to keep our presentations a lot tighter than last week but we managed to goof off a lot in between our presentations as per usual! It's worth noting that this episode sees a break in the "Peachy Takeover" as we called it, where various members of the group Peachy Parade would join us weekly, and this one was a reunion of sorts for our very first episode! Warren is still around (and starts the week again) as he has become a fixture in these streams but the big news here was the return of Danny who won our first DTL and basically died immediately afterwards. Things were a little lighter this time around but it's clear that we all got more than a little drunk at various points throughout this one! We managed to cut things short just a bit over five hours this time though and that's something to be proud of perhaps? Welcome! Here's the seventh of our "Drink Talk Learn" streams and just to give everyone a brief primer, we all came up with a (hopefully! lol) ten-minute presentation and must drink some sort of alcohol every minute starting at the three-minute mark! This usually leads to a lot of nonsense and the entire stream usually starts to unravel as the final presentations are being done. This is the second DTL stream where Callie was not present though she basically WAS during most of it, so it's a hard point to make. This was a stream that continued the Peachy Parade invasion with Cat! Also, it's the stream where we ALL apparently decided to do 45 minute presentations! This stream stretched well into six hours and we couldn't really stop it as it was going on so we just went with it and surprisingly so did a lot of people watching us online. That said, this one has a bit more drunken nonsense than usual (a presenter stopping their presentation to talk about Dungeons & Dragons anyone?) and while the energy seen here will most definitely see a reappearance in future streams, we don't intend to ever let our time run this far off course again. This particular one was actually almost cancelled many times and was originally going to be a Fourth of July stream, thankfully we switched it up to a Friday one (avoided the insane fireworks on the 4th) and we snagged Ren as a co-host for this one! Since Ren is another member of Peachy Parade (we previously had Megan on before) there was an attempt to pick some fruitier drinks to go with our colorful presentations! Speaking of presentations, even though we only had five of them, we somehow managed to make this stream run for almost five hours, a crazy feat. We also implemented a new voting system here, but that definitely needs some work... Anyhow, this one was a lot of fun and even though Callie wasn't on to reign us in, we still got through this one! (Oh, and Callie would make a guest appearance at the end!) This one saw a LOT of technical difficulties and other oddness that started with us not bothering to explain what a "Drink Talk Learn even is and continued with a lot of lost content, some of which had to be recovered via the twitch VOD, some with the original video sources, and some just lost forever. There was also a nice discussion that we decided to keep live only, so there's a nice little cut towards the last two presentations! Watch live if you ever want to join in the nonsense! Anyhow, this one saw seven hosts return and the actual full live stream went on for almost FIVE HOURS! Needless to say we were all tired by the time we were done, but everyone pretty much brought their A Game here and we had a lot of fun! Lots to talk about here, but we'll leave to watch it to learn more and once again we apologize for the countless technical difficulties (which thankfully only plagued the middle of the show) and some of our nonsense, BUT we did keep the interruptions down to a those being on topic this time around, so there's progress!
