Japanese Idol Group Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu Release New Single: "LOVE IYAIYA KI"

It's been a whils since Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu released their viral hit single, "Suki! ~Cho ver~", and the six-member group have just released their first single of 2023, titled "LOVE IYAIYA KI". “Iyaiya ki” is the Japanese term for the terrible twos. The song title refers to that frustrating feeling when the desire to be loved can bring on a major hissy fit. It’s an experience we can all relate to: When we fall in love with someone, we demand their affection and approval, begging them to “Tell me you love me!” “Message me more!” “Have eyes for no one but me!” ‘LOVE IYAIYA KI’ packs this concept with the kind of fun melodrama we love to see from Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu, resulting in a cute and poppy song about the desire for that special someone’s approval. In the music video, the members of Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu pull irritated “iyaiya ki” faces, which are as drop-dead adorable as you’d expect.

Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu recently celebrated their third anniversary, and on April 7, they began starring in their own broadcast TV series on TV Tokyo. The explosive TikTok success of their single "Suki! ~Cho ver~" won fans of all ages around the world, and the group have announced an upcoming appearance at Indonesia’s largest Japanese culture festival in July. In 2024, they will perform a headline concert at Yokohama Arena, as Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu continue to attract attention from fans in Japan and all over the world.
