Country Girls to Cease Activities in December

It was announced on October 18, 2019 that Country Girls will cease activities on December 26th, 2019 following their concert at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA. They will release a compilation album titled “Country Girls Daizenshuu” on December 4th and it will contain all of their songs and MVs released to date since their revival in 2014.

After discussion between the members and staff, it was ultimately decided to suspend activities of Country Girls and all of its members will graduate from the group after December 26. Funaki Musubu will graduate from both ANGERME and Hello! Project in March 2020 to focus on dancing. Ozeki Mai will graduate from both Country Girls and Hello! Project after December 26 to focus on her studies in university alongside getting more experience as an entertainer more than being an idol. Yamaki Risa will graduate from both Country Girls, Hello! Project, and College Cosmos after December 26 to retire from the entertainment industry.  Lastly, Morito Chisaki will continue to be in Morning Musume after December 26. 

The staff have mentioned in their announcement at the end that Country Girls is considering to be revived in the near future with new members. 

Please continue to support the current iteration of Country Girls with their remaining time before the hiatus, and continue to support each of the individual members with their post graduation activities.
