By Rose Alternative idol unit BiSH have announced plans to disband in 2023, following a year of consecutive releases and a nationwide farewell tour. BiSH (formerly branded as "Brand-new idol Shit") was founded in 2015 by manager Junnosuke Watanabe following the dissolution of his former wards BiS ("Brand-new idol Society"). The group debuted with four members: captain Cent Chihiro Chitti, Aina the End, Momoko Gumi Company, and Hug Mii (a fifth member, Yukako Love Deluxe, withdrew before the group’s official debut). After the addition of Hashiyasume Atsuko and Lingling in 2015, Hug Mii’s departure in 2016, and Ayuni D’s debut that same year, BiSH has continued on as a six-piece. BiSH has released six albums and four EPs to-date, though the nature of the upcoming “consecutive releases” is somewhat vague as of yet. A short video has been released which you can watch below. It is unknown if Watanabe or the other management at WACK have a replacement group in the works, though WACK itself has grown to be a large company with many idol units under its belt in recent years. Aina the End and Ayuni D have each found success with their respective solo output, as had many ex-BiS members before them, so it’s not out of the question to see the other BiSH girls set out on similar ventures. A few members of BiSH have already spent time in other groups both in and out of WACK’s management circle.
