AKB48 World Senbatsu To Be Held at Nagoya Dome on June 16

More details on AKB48 World Senbatsu General Election have been announced! This year it will be held on June 16th at Nagoya Dome. The election will determine the members who will participated in AKB48's 53rd single.

This year's Senbatsu, the group's 10th, is shaping up to be the biggest so far. A total of 339 people will be participating including ten members from Thailand's BNK48 and five members from Taiwan's TPE48. (Indonesia's JKT48 will not participate due to schedule conflicts.)

In other news, Sashihara Rino, who won four times out of the past five years, will not be participating in this year's general election so we're pretty much assured something of a shock when it comes to the final lineup.
