Con Alt Delete Brings Baby, The Stars Shine Bright, DEADLIFT LOLITA, and Kanako Ito to the Midwest!

Con+Alt+Delete, an anime convention based in Rosemont IL, will be featuring idol group DEADLIFT LOLITA, singer Kanako Ito, and Japanese lolita fashion brand Baby, The Stars Shine Bright, on December 15-17 just in time for Christmas!

Kanako Ito, from Utsunomiya, Tochigi, Japan, has sung many songs that have appeared in video games and anime. You may recognize her for singing the “bad end” ending theme to the visual novel School Days and songs for the games Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer, Saya no Uta, Demonbane, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Matsuri, Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, and Robotics;Notes. She has also sung for the anime series Please Twins!, Myself ; Yourself, Hatenkō Yūgi, Occultic;Nine, and her most recent release, “Uncontrollable”, is the opening theme for the anime Chaos; Child. However, she doesn’t stop there, her song “DD” on her single “A Wish For The Stars” features her singing in French!

Comprised of two active pro-wrestlers, gym junkies, and idols LADYBEARD and REIKA SAIKI, “DEADLIFT LOLITA” strives to redefine “kawaii” by being the strongest idol unit ever!. LADYBEARD is the persona of a 33-year-old Australian wrestler who moved to China in 2006 to kick-start his martial arts stunt career in films, later becoming a hit in Hong Kong as a pro wrestler sporting unique outfits. In October 2013 he moved to Tokyo to take his career to the next level as part of an idol group LADYBABY, now known as The Idol Formerly Known as LADYBABY following his departure in August 2016. Now in DEADLIFT LOLITA, the lolita-wearing wrestler LADYBEARD continues his kawaiicore alongside fellow group member and bodybuilder idol REIKA SAIKI. This incredibly well-synced new weightlifting and music duo is set to perform several original songs at their live show in Chicago and strive to create a dance performance guaranteed to burn the calories!

Established in 1988, Baby, the Stars Shine Bright is a Lolita fashion clothing brand founded by Akinori and Fumiyo Isobe in Tokyo, Japan. The sister brand, Alice and the Pirates, was created in 2004. Currently, BABY, the Stars Shine Bright boasts 21 shops across Japan, with stores in both New York and San Francisco.

Throughout the weekend guests will be featured in panels, signing autographs, and giving performances. Baby The Stars Shine Bright Will also be hosting a Fashion Show on Saturday and a Tea Party on Sunday.
