hide 20th Memorial Concert Announced

In remembrance of hide, guitarist of legendary Japanese rock band, X Japan, a concert has been announced to take place over two days to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his passing.

It was announced that the memorial live performance “hide 20th memorial SUPER LIVE ‘SPIRITS’” in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of hide’s death, will be held for two days on April 28th and 29th at the special outdoor stage in Odaiba.
 
This was declared by hide’s younger brother Hiroshi Matsumoto of the Head Wax Organization, at the end of hide’s birthday event “hide Birthday Party 2017,” held on December 10th at CLUB CITTA in Kanagawa. hide with Spread Beaver was announced as the opening act of the event.
 
Furthermore, the start of the “hide 20th Memorial Project” was revealed. A documentary movie is scheduled to be released in 2018, and a memorial boxset (title TBA), which puts together precious videos and voice comments of hide that were passed on in 1998, as well as the book “The World Without You ~the traces of the 2486 days I spent with hide~,” which was composed by hide’s close friend I.N.A. (hide with Spread Beaver), whom he also created music with, will be on sale next spring. Further details will be published on the special “hide 20th Memorial Project” website.
