Japanese Artist SANTA to Release First Anime Tie-in Song: "Sou"

SANTA, a Japanese artist with a huge following across Asia, recently announced the upcoming release of his first ever anime song, titled "Sou", which is set to drop on April 6. Details on this song, as well as links to check it out for yourself, can be found below.

"Sou" is the opening theme song for Mashin Genesis Wataru, the latest instalment in the classic Wataru anime series that began in 1988 with Mashin Hero Wataru and is beloved by fans across all generations. The story follows the adventures of fourth-grade elementary school student Wataru Hoshibe as he overcomes challenge after challenge with his friends, bringing smiles to fans around the globe. The new series has been brought up to date with themes and settings for today’s always-online world, making it perfect viewing for adults and kids alike.

"Sou" is a song bursting with positive energy, created especially to fit within the world of the anime. The song’s fast-paced rock sound and passionate melody show a new side of SANTA.

SANTA appeared on China’s mega-hit audition show CHUANG in 2021 and debuted as a member of the multicultural boy band INTO1, before becoming a solo artist with a career that spans multiple Asian countries.
