Japanese Artist Novel Core Releases New Single: "Rulers"

​We're at the start of a new year and Japanese singer/rapper Novel Core has released their first single of 2024 in the form of "RULERS". Details on this release, and its new MV, can be found below.

Novel Core’s first single of 2024, "RULERS", recently released on Wednesday, January 10. The song has been selected as the closing theme to the fifth season of the anime series Kingdom, which will begin broadcasting in January 2024. As a fan of both the anime adaptation of Kingdom and the original manga, Novel Core has created this all-new song with producer Ryosuke “Dr.R” Sakai, who has worked with such globally successful artists as SKY-HI, BE:FIRST, UVERworld, AK-69, Chanmina and milet.

Novel Core’s newly written lyrics on the theme of “inconsistent justice” are sprinkled with references that will resonate with Kingdom fans; he skillfully and expressively sings and raps these lyrics over Ryosuke “Dr.R” Sakai’s aggressive digital-rock sound. These core elements fuse to create an emotional song that reflects the unique tension present in Season 5 of Kingdom. The music video for "RULERS" can be viewed below.

Born in Tokyo and aged 22, Novel Core is a rapper, singer and songwriter. He is signed to BMSG, the artist management company/label run by SKY-HI. Novel Core’s first major-label album ‘A GREAT FOOL’ and his second ‘No Pressure’ each reached No.1 on Japan’s charts, as he exploded in popularity from the very start of his major-label career.
