Roli Angels - Jump Hip Hop Single Review

Roli Angels is an idol group I don't know much about, and there's not a lot of information to find about them online in English. The only thing I have to go on is these two songs, "Jump. Hip. Hop" and "Love ne melody". So hopefully this will do its part to change that.

The first track, "Jump. Hip. Hop" is a pretty simple idol-style song. It's super upbeat, with a simple and memorable melody. The singers' voices are distinct enough from each other to pick out hints of personality shining through. I could see this being a pretty fun song during live performances.

The coupling track, "Love ne melody" starts with a synth line that reminds me of something out of The Legend of Zelda, and I love it. The synth keeps echoing slightly throughout the song, underneath the vocals and lead guitar. It gives the song a retro feel, as if the backing music was taken right out of a video game. The song itself isn't as bouncy as the last one, but it's the one I find myself listening to more closely.

Overall, this is a pretty good single. I would love to hear some more songs from Roli Angels, especially something closer to "Love ne melody".
