Ikoma Rina to Star in Stage Play Adaptation of "Negima! Magister Negi Magi"

Fans of the manga/anime series "Negima! Magister Negi Magi" and idol fans alike got a bit of interesting news recently when it was announced that recently graduated Nogizaka46 member, Ikoma Rina, will star in a new stage play adaptation of the popular series created by Ken Akamatsu!

What role will she be playing? Well this wouldn't exactly be top-running news if she wasn't a starring role and Rina will be playing none other than Negi Springfield! Negi is a mage-in-training who finds himself assigned to Mahora Academy's Middle School. Once there he takes charge of a classroom of 21 girls and spends most of the series both gaining their respect while also searching for his father, the great Nagi Springfield also known as the "Thousand Master." It is worth noting that Negi is a 10-year-old boy and while Rina seemed confident that she could take on the role in an accurate way, it'll still be interesting to see how she how this adaptation plays out.

Ken Akamatsu, the creator of the series and also the creator of "Love Hina", gave his support regarding Ikoma Rina playing the role of Negi.
