A Hot Time at Anime Expo 2018

Temperatures over 100°+ did not stop all the action at Anime Expo 2018 July 5th- - 8th at the L.A. Convention center  There were over 150 industry guest and 524 exhibitors. From concerts, cosplays, panels to 20 world premiers there was plenty to see and do. 110,000 attendees  from over 70 countries attended visited the venue which was managed much better than last year by implementing organizational improvements such as pre-mailing badges and increasing the number of secured entry points.  ​

The concert was full of enthusiastic fans which, with the help of the “Rainbow Project” which passed out instructions to all the Love Live fans, performed a rainbow with their pen lights during Chika’s solo in Yuuki wa Dok ni? Kimi no Mune ni!, which moved the performer to tears.

VOLKS USA

Ball joint doll manufacture Voks USA conducted a pop store to showcase their Fate Series Dollfie Dream series. They displayed a wide range of different dolls modeled after different characters from the Fate Stay Night universe such as Saber, Rin Tohsaka,and Prisma☆Illya.  .

Volks USA also introduced their latest release in the Vocaloid series Megurine Luka which they had on displayed at their booth.

Cosplay

The heat did not deter cosplayers from far and wide from descending at the L.A. Convention center. Photographers and models had to be creative to find location to beat the heat.  Below are some samples of the amazing cosplays.  

Next year Anime Expo will occur July 4th - 7th, once again, at the Los Angeles Convention Center!
