Makoto Shinkai's Suzume Opens Nationwide April 14

The latest animated film by Makoto Shinkai, Suzume, had its international premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival this past February, and it was just announced that GKIDS will be bringing it to theaters nationwide on April 14!

Award-winning creator, writer, and director Makoto Shinkai is the celebrated auteur of the acclaimed, award-winning box office hits Your Name (2016) and Weathering With You (2019). Weathering With You made its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, was nominated for Best Animated Independent Feature at the 47th Annie Award and was Japan’s 2020 Oscar entry for Best International Film.
