From June 30th to August 23rd, the Tokyo National Museum’s special “KIMONO” exhibition will include “Yoshikimono” designs from the Japanese superstar YOSHIKI.
YOSHIKIMONO, the fashion brand created by Japanese rock star YOSHIKI, has been chosen to be displayed at the prestigious V&A Museum in London during Europe’s first major kimono exhibition.

Inspired by his cultural influences and community, his love of Naruto, and his passion for bringing unique voices to the forefront, this unisex ready-to-wear, footwear and bag collection is Jordan’s first foray into fashion design, guided by the expertise of Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers.
Japan is no stranger to wild street fashion looks. From lolita to punk and everything in between, Harajuku especially is a fashion lover’s dream. Bold and bright, Hypercore’s clothing is unique amongst many Japanese street fashion brands. The brainchild of Hisacy, he brings his distinctive rock stylings from the world of album art to the fashion world. In recent years, lolita fashion has boomed outside of Japan. Elegant dresses with elaborate details and matching accessories are a more and more common sight, both at conventions and outside of them. These princess-like looks have found fans worldwide, giving their wearers a sense of fairytale wonderment and decadence in their lives.
A long running lolita fashion brand, Baby the Stars Shine Bright was recently at A-kon 2019 [Check out the Fashion Show gallery HERE], along with their sister brand, Alice and the Pirates. Baby is celebrating 30 years as a brand, and Alice 15, and show no signs of slowing down. We got to sit down and chat with some of the designers and one of the brand models about their works, international lolita events, favorite dresses, and more! The Anime Expo Fashion Show is always one of the most anticipated events and the 2019 showcase was no different! Anime Expo's 2019 Fashion Show featured Japanese brands h. NAOTO with designer Hirooka Naoto, Acryl CANDY with guest model Haruka Kurebayashi, amnesiA¶mnesiA with guest model Yo from Matenrou Opera, and Metamorphose with designer Chinatsu Taira. In addition to these brands Hot Topic revealed a new collection and HYPLAND debuted new items from their BLEACH collaboration. Michelle Nguyen Bradley also lended her skills to the Fashion Show as the MC!
