Session RecapAfter failing to get a meeting with Calvyn Silvergard, the Dean of the School of Continued Progress last session, the party started this session plotting how to get closer to him. Jedah and Amra decided to go find lodgings for them while Ulrich and Khorr waited for Dean Silvergard to leave his office.
Session RecapAfter taking care of the herald of darkness in the last session, we picked up with the aftermath. Amra was still dead set on collecting the ears of the herald to the disgust of just about everyone who witnessed it. He tried to convince the stage manager to send it off. The manager took it but his expression made it seem like he was probably going to get rid of them and take Amra’s money.
Session RecapWe cut back to a few hours before party’s arrival at the Winter Court at the end of last session to Amra waking up in his cell. He’s tied up and it’s too dark for him to see anything clearly but he can hear someone laughing at him: Darius. By rolling well enough on his Intelligence check, Amra finally remembers that Darius is the man he saw in the flashback he had of being chained up in a similar area. Darius taunts Amra some more before departing.
Session RecapAfter crossing into the Feywild at the end of the last session and meeting the standoffish Darius, the party ventured into the city of Khanya. There they found a vibrant nightlife full of every species of person known to them and many more partying, gambling and feasting.
Session RecapAfter killing Captain Blacktooth and scaring off the remaining crew members at the end of the last session, Jedah becomes completely unresponsive. They try and shake him out of it but nothing they do works. Talliyah gets a doctor for them who diagnoses Jedah with what is essentially PTSD.
Session RecapAfter departing Jaran at the end of last session, the players made their way across the land bridge connecting the continents of Vendian and Kenor to the next major city of To’anata. On their way, they came across a mysterious watering hole with no animals around it. Sticking his hand into it, Amra found out that it wasn’t just a watering hole, it was a giant ooze. After escaping that once, Amra could have once again realized he could just leave things alone and be on his merry way but this is Amra we’re talking about. He decided to do it again and start a fight with the ooze. It captured him and got its oozy tentacles on Ulrich but with the help of the rest of the party, the ooze fell before any permanent damage was done.
I really hope that new Batman movie doesn’t change its name. Otherwise, there goes the streak of movie title references. Session RecapAfter Ulrich activated his magical necklace at the end of the last session, the party found themselves transported to an unknown location. And when the rest of the party turned around to look at Amra, they found him petrified by unknown magic, the eyes of the creature they fought at the end of last session falling out of his hand. The rest of the party started exploring the new location hoping to find someone or something that could restore Amra.
Session RecapThe party entered the cave that Tonlifter seemed to be drawn towards while under the control of the cursed headband. Talliyah was also there. She was just off-screen taking care of all the ninjas sneaking up on the party. The interior was dark with few if any sources of light putting Khorr the Halfling at a disadvantage.
Session RecapAfter meeting up with the Tonlifter Goliath tribe, the party was given an ultimatum: “Surrender or die in obscurity.” Clearly, a lot had changed in the week or so they’d been away from the group. The party debated surrendering, fighting and running before deciding to surrender and play along until they could figure out a better course of action. Their hands were bound and their weapons taken except for Jedah’s guns because he was able to convince the guards they were harmless. (Oh, the joys of being in a world that is only just beginning to understand guns!)
