By Teepu For fans of Mo Dao Zu Shi (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) it’s always fun to get different adaptations. One thing we’ve been lacking is a comic/manhua adaptation, but on March 7th the English translation of the comic adaptation will finally be available. I had the chance to read through the first volume and here are my impressions.
By Rose Imagine walking into a Hot Topic in the summer of 2006. You might hear Before I Forget or Thank You for the Venom blasting out of their speakers, or see an endless wave of fingerless gloves, Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise, and zippers on just about everything. This is what it feels like to crack open Deathwish (or Death Wish, since it appears both ways on various pages), the first volume of the Zombie Makeout Club manga. There's an abundance of spikes, skulls, and black. There's also, much like a Hot Topic, nothing of real substance to be found within the pages. It's aesthetic for the sake of a product. It's content.

This will be followed in August by the launch of the gritty crime and redemption saga, TRY AGAIN. Additional new titles will be announced for release by Noir Caesar and TOKYOPOP in coming months. More information on Noir Caesar Entertainment, and their upcoming titles, can be found below.

By Manuel New Gods: Yang Jian is the latest animated film from Light Chaser Animation and director Zhao Ji, both of whom previously brought us White Snake and New Gods: Nezha. It is the second movie in the New Gods series and is a take on the Chinese mythological figure of Yang Jian (also known as Erlang Shen). The English-language version, presented in both subtitled format and with a brand new dub, is brought to us by way of GKIDS. So, let's take a look and see if this is the first must-see animation movie of the year.
