GKIDS & Toei Animation Host The First Slam Dunk North American Premiere at Anime Expo 2023

GKIDS and Toei Animation announced today that The First Slam Dunk will host its North American premiere at this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles. Anime Expo is the largest celebration of Japanese pop culture in North America, having hosted numerous premieres of top Japanese anime films, with regular attendance of over 100,000 attendees annually. Lonely Castle in the Mirror Hitting Select Theaters Nationwide June 21 & 22

How do you deal with the loss of a loved one? What would you do to save them from death? Is fate something that can be changed and if so, what would the consequences be? Why did we receive three penguins in the mail that apparently only we can see? Re:cycle of the Penguindrum is a movie series that explores a lot of questions both dramatic and comedic. I got to see the North American premiere of both movies at Anime Boston 2023. Here are my thoughts.

Cthulhu or Cthuwu: An Interview Voice Actor with Corina Boettger

Corina Boettger is both a voice actor whose voice you might recognize from anime such as One-Punch Man (Tatsumaki), Love Live! (Anju Yuki), Dino Girl Gauko (Naoko), and many others. Gamers have probably heard their voice in Genshin Impact (Paimon), Ai: The Somnium Files (Mizuki), Tower of Fantasy (Fenrir), as well as several more. They were recently a guest at Anime Los Angeles in Long Beach, CA and we were lucky enough to arrange an interview at the event! We discussed what got them into acting in general, some hilarious fan interactions, and advice for those trying to get their start in voice acting!
